Leslie “Bill” Calvin Bomar Jr., 68, of Galesburg, died at 5:24 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg. After graduating from high school, Bill proudly served in the United States Air Force until he was honorably discharged in 1979. Bill married Theresa Bowling on August 22, 2008 in Galesburg, they later separated but remained close friends. He is survived by his lifetime special friend, Theresa Bomar of Keokuk, Iowa; one son, Leslie Bomar, III. A private memorial ceremony will be held at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois.
