#Clip: 1 on 1 in 10: Sandra Grey on Workers’ Rights, Union Power & Election 2026
['Martyn Bradbury']
The Daily Blog
Are New Zealand workers ready to fight back against falling wages, weakened workplace protections and a political system that increasingly favours corporate wealth?
In this week’s 1 on 1 in 10, Martyn Bradbury speaks with New Zealand Council of Trade Unions President Sandra Grey about union power, the cost-of-living crisis, workplace safety, fair pay agreements, migrant-worker exploitation and why Election 2026 could be decisive for working people.
Sandra argues that workers have been taught to feel grateful simply to have a job, when employers and the wider economy should recognise that New Zealand depends on workers turning up every day and keeping the country running.
But that will only happen if workers organise, join unions and use their political power.
