The Braves have announced that they have designated pitcher Elieser Hernandez for assignment. In addition, the Braves shared that they have recalled pitcher James Karinchak to their major league roster. Hernandez was recently called up to the Braves' roster and did well. In two appearances with the Braves, he had a 1-0 record, a 1.50 ERA, and six strikeouts in six innings pitched. While Hernandez was pretty solid for the Braves during his most recent call-up, it was not enough for him to avoid being designated for assignment.
