The New York Yankees are moving on from one of their relief pitchers. ESPN's Jeff Passan reported that the Yankees have traded reliever Camilo Doval to the Pittsburgh Pirates. BeisbolFR.com's Francys Romero reported shortly after that the Pirates are sending catcher Omar Alfonzo and outfielder Luis Cruz to the Yankees in the deal. Doval had been creating chatter in the rumor mill as a trade candidate with the 2026 MLB Trade Deadline almost here. After being dealt to the Yankees last season by the San Francisco Giants, the 6-foot-2 righty struggled throughout his time in New York.
