Saturday might, officers in Atkinson County captured a suspect who allegedly fled a traffic stop conducted by a Pearson police officer. According to a release issued by the PPD, earlier Saturday, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Joshua Stringer, who was know to have outstanding warrants through the PPD and the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office. The release stated that none of Stringer’s warrants were related to violent or gun crimes. Their search came to an end on Saturday night when officers captured Stringer just outside the Pearson city limits. He was booked into the Atkinson County Jail on the outstanding warrants.
