The Pear Lake wildfire continues to grow significantly and is now estimated at 103,921 hectares, up from 73,200 hectares early Friday. Elevated fire activity contributed to growth along the northwest and northeast flanks of the Pear Lake wildfire yesterday. Record-breaking drought has left fuels highly susceptible to increased fire behaviour on the Pear lake wildfire.
