A Surat-based RTI activist has demanded an inquiry into the finances of Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke’s father. Amit Tiwari questioned how Bhagwanrao Dipke, a retired Maharashtra govt employee, funded his son’s education abroad. Separately, the activist questioned CJP’s status and whether it could receive funds while operating under the name of a political party. GST question on Kapil Sibal’s Rs 1 crore fund“If not registered, then its operation under the name of a political party and collection/receipt of funds may require examination,” Tiwari added. Meanwhile, he approached the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs seeking an investigation into whether GST would apply to senior advocate Kapil Sibal’s proposed contribution to the legal defence fund.
