She graduated from Nathan Hale High School in West Allis, Wisconsin in 1973, she later earned her master’s degree from Western Illinois University in 1996. She married the love of her life, Kurt M. Carlsen, nearly 50 years ago in 1976 in West Allis, Wisconsin. Sally was an active member and Sunday school teacher with Messiah Lutheran Church-Henderson Grove, where her husband Kurt, pastored. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Messiah Lutheran Church- Henderson Grove. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Messiah Lutheran Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.
