Samsung’s latest July security update appears to be causing unexpected problems for some Galaxy flagship owners. A growing number of Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S24 Ultra users are reporting significantly worse battery life, overheating, and even slower charging after installing the software. One Galaxy S25 Ultra owner said their handset previously delivered normal battery life before the update. However, battery life has noticeably deteriorated since installing the latest software. Only a small number of users on Samsung’s forums have reported complaints, rather than every Galaxy S25 Ultra or Galaxy S24 Ultra owner who installed the update.
