City staff suggest removing one potential roadblock to preventing City Hall development. As we wrote on Friday, City Manager Kimberly Bizor Tolbert requested an agenda item for the Monday morning briefing of the Council’s Finance Committee. In May, the attorneys for Save Dallas City Hall warned that the city about the requirement for a supermajority. So far, the Council has been divided 9-6 for just about every vote regarding the fate of City Hall, with nine in favor of redeveloping the land and moving city operations to new quarters. The meeting is slated for 8 a.m. Monday in the City Council chambers, and can be viewed here or attended in person.
