8:34pm: The Braves are adding outfielder Lane Thomas and left-hander Bailey Falter in a trade with the Royals, reports Jeff Passan of ESPN. The 30-year-old Thomas didn’t look like a desirable trade candidate over the first stretch of the season. If no money changes hands in the deal, the Braves will be on the hook for about $1.5MM for Thomas’ remaining base salary this season. Falter came to the Royals in a deal with the Pirates last trade deadline. The Royals designated Falter for assignment, and he passed through waivers unclaimed.
