Indian star cricketer Shubman Gill, who is currently leading the Test team, is likely to be appointed as the captain for the One-Day Internationals as well. First, the BCCI is planning to appoint Gill as a captain for India’s 3 match series against Australia. Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir is also informed of the development with regard to the change of leadership from Rohit Sharma to Gill. In his first Test series as a captain, Gill scored 754 runs in five matches in England. A formal confirmation of Gill’s appointment as ODI captain will be made soon.
