CommonSpirit Health has opened grant applications for local nonprofits operating in its Mountain Region. According to a recent press release, these grants — which are part of the CommonSpirit Health Community Health Improvement Grants program — will “support the delivery of services vital to improving health and well-being and improving health equity.” Grant proposals should help the nonprofit applicant better care for “identified underserved or vulnerable populations” or “address health inequities.” “We are intentional and focused in community outreach and programs to improve health and well being,” said Michael Bilton, CommonSpirit’s system director for community health and community benefit, in the press release. The grant program is one way we put this into practice.”
