View 2 Images A fresh weather warning covers the whole of the UK as Storm Amy continues to bring widespread disruption (Image: REACH)Around 62,000 Scots are without power as Storm Amy ravages the country with high winds. ‌Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) have said they are still working to reconnect power to 62,000 customers. ‌As of 7.30am on Saturday, power had been restored to 16,500 customers but thousands were still without electricity due to wind gusts in excess of 100mph from Storm Amy, officials said. Tiree takes the highest recorded wind gust in association with Storm Amy so far at a whopping 96mph. And Storm Amy is set to cause more chaos for Scots on Saturday following travel disruption, power cuts and floods.
