Investing.com -- Mediators are working to revive the June memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States, Iranian parliament national security commission spokesman Hassan Ghashghavi said, according to a report by Al Jazeera citing Iranian news outlet SNN. Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also said in a post on Telegram that negotiations with Oman on the management of the Strait are in their final stages. Ghashghavi said the Strait of Hormuz is a key issue in these discussions, and added that Iran could return to Muscat for further talks. Another Iranian military source had also communicated that "as long as the United States continues its hostile actions and acts of aggression, the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed," the report from Fars added. On Sunday, Channel 12 reported that Israel was left uninformed by the US for hours about an expected joint attack against Iran.
