Westminster Hall debate secured by County Durham MP inspired by Maya’s Law campaign

The Maya’s Law campaign was unveiled on Saturday (September 27) at Shotley Bridge Cricket Ground, bringing together relatives, friends, MPs, and community leaders from across the North East.
Gemma Chappell and Liz Twist MP(Image: SARAH CALDECOTT)Blaydon and Consett MP, Liz Twist, who attended last Saturday’s campaign launch, confirmed that a Westminster Hall debate will take place on October 14, designed to raise Maya’s Law on the parliamentary agenda.
She said: “It’s hoped that the Westminster Hall debate puts the Maya’s Law campaign on the radar of all MPs in Parliament.
