Caldwell-Pope played four seasons for the Lakers (three with James), and the two won an NBA title together to cap the 2019-20 campaign. Three seasons later, KCP won his second NBA championship as a key member of the Denver Nuggets. The 33-year-old didn't enjoy that same team success last year, as the 25-57 Grizzlies struggled to a 13th-place finish in the 15-team Western Conference. Caldwell-Pope is understandably happy at the prospect of competing for a championship again. The 76ers went to the second round of the playoffs last year and got better on paper by trading for Jaylen Brown and signing James to a team that has guards Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe and center Joel Embiid already aboard.
