Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant feels the 2026-27 Philadelphia 76ers have earned a comparison to the mid-dynasty Golden State Warriors now that they've added LeBron James. Durant compared the two teams when speaking to ESPN's Ben Golliver at a charity 3x3 tournament for USA Basketball in California. "The last time they put three 20-point scorers on a team, they said it was unfair, which was the [Warriors] team I was on," Durant said, per Golliver. Durant also told Golliver he "didn't know at all" that James was planning to sign with the Sixers this offseason. Durant averaged 28.2 points per game for the Oklahoma City Thunder the season prior to when he signed with the Warriors in 2016.
