Oba Femi defeated Brock Lesnar in a Hell in a Cell match to close Night 1 of WWE SummerSlam 2026 on Saturday. After the match, the cell was raised, and Femi received adulation from the crowd. SummerSlam marked the rubber match between Femi and Lesnar after they split their first two meetings at WrestleMania 42 and Clash in Italy. While that was supposed to secure the former NXT champion a world title match at SummerSlam, Lesnar confronted him on the ensuing episode of Raw and hit Femi with multiple F-5s. Femi challenged him to a match at SummerSlam, and Lesnar accepted, but only under the condition that it be contested inside Hell in a Cell.
