Sir Sadiq Khan could face a City Hall investigation over his call for Benjamin Netanyahu's arrest. The Labour Mayor of London has been reported to the Greater London Authority (GLA) standards watchdog by a Labour pressure group that campaigns against anti-Semitism. Sir Sadiq vocally opposed Israel's war on Gaza following the Oct 7 terror attacks, and last month said that Mr Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, must be "brought to book". In May, Sir Sadiq Khan posted photographs on his Instagram account of his Hajj – the pilgrimage to MeccaJust three weeks after the Oct 7 attacks, in which Hamas murdered about 1,200 Israelis, Sir Sadiq publicly defied Sir Keir Starmer by calling for an Israeli ceasefire. Responding to Sir Sadiq's latest comments about Mr Netanyahu, a spokesman for Labour Against Antisemitism said: "The mayor's comments were not just misleading.
