Everett L. Brackett, 83, of Canton, Georgia, died on August 15, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., at home with his family. He was the oldest son of James and Ruth Brackett and brother to Janet, Ellen, Bob, and Bill. Shortly after that, he moved to Portland, Oregon, where he attended Cascade College and attended Chapman University for his Master’s in Family Counseling. The last 14 years of Everett’s life, he and his wife lived with their daughter, son-in-law, and two grandsons. Everett is survived by his wife, Rose; daughter, Kristi (Brian); two grandsons, Eli and Kye; sister, Ellen; and brothers, Bob and Bill.
