Children with Education, Health and Care Plans will benefit from a personalised, supportive learning environment that allows them to thrive both academically and socially. Laura Weaver, headteacher at Knights Templar, said: "Knights Templar’s inclusive ethos and provision for SEND were highlighted as a considerable strength during our most recent Ofsted inspection. The Den was developed in partnership with Somerset Council and specialist professionals, and will serve both children already attending Knights Templar and others from across the local area who meet the criteria for specialist SEND provision. Linda Bulpin, chair of governors, said: "We are incredibly proud to launch this much-needed provision at Knights Templar Community Church School. The unit aims to reduce the need for families to seek support outside the local area, ensuring children can access high-quality education close to home.
