Launched in 2022 by Wester Ross UNESCO Biosphere, the festival has seen hundreds attend to enjoy planetarium shows, workshops and stargazing sessions. It has become a way for communities to gather during the darkest season, promoting wellbeing and reducing isolation. “The Dark Skies Festival runs all throughout November and has become a way for our communities to come together, connect, and celebrate what makes Wester Ross so special,” said Louise Pearson, festival coordinator. “With the help of our communities and supporters, we can make 2025 our biggest and brightest festival yet,” added Louise.
