Campaigners aim to tackle climate crisis at city conference

Bethany and Joan from the Highlands and Islands Climate HubPublic, private and community sectors are set to come together in Inverness next week for an event promoting the benefits of connectivity.
The Highland Climate Conference, hosted by the Highlands & Islands Climate Hub and supported by the Scottish Government, will take place on Wednesday at the Kingsmills Hotel.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to take immediate action on the day by signing the Highland Charter for Climate, Nature and Health.
Highlands and Islands Climate Hub chief executive Joan Lawrie said: “I’m so looking forward to having the public, private and community sector in one room talking about their efforts in the fight against the climate emergency.
The overall goal of the conference is to establish how communities, the public sector and the private sector can come together to secure a better climate for the Highlands.
