What’s Happening – Moody on the Market
A Fall Gardening School, offered by the River Valley Garden Club will be held Sept. 18 and 19 at the Harbert Community Church, 6444 Harbert Road, Sawyer.
Open to the public the workshop is the last in a series of four programs that provide updated gardening information.
Dr. Todd Barkman, Professor of Biological Sciences at Western Michigan University, is one of the speakers and will discuss the Identification and Classification of Plants.
Additional speakers include Greenhouse Specialist Amanda Hyman, Western Michigan University as well as speakers from MSU, Kalamazoo Community College, and Purdue Extension.
Additional topics will include: Specialized Styles of Gardening Invasive Bugs and Worms Pruning Techniques Techniques for Growing Woody OrnamentalsSponsored by Michigan Garden Clubs, the registration fee for the two days is $60 for garden club members and $75 for nonmembers.
