Ms. Carol L. Gibson, 84, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg. She was born August 18, 1941, in Springfield, Missouri to Lee and Dorothy L. (Vaughn) Folger. Surviving are two sons, Steven H. (and Dawn) Gibson of Galesburg and Jeffrey R. (and Andrea) Gibson of Cambridge, Illinois, a sister, Renee Reynolds of Galesburg, seven grandchildren, Jake (and Kelly) Gibson, Brian (and Christine) Kastl, Brittany (and April) Gibson, Elizabeth Gibson, Amber Kastl, Jessica (and Zachary) Peterson, and Ashlee (and Forrest) Allen and six great grandchildren, Brence Gibson, Brooklyn Gibson, Wyatt Peterson, Bentley Allen, Lena Peterson, and Madelyn Kastl. She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Art Fish, her father, Lee Folger, and a son, David Gibson. Carol graduated from Williamsfield High School, Williamsfield, Illinois in 1959.
