The Kano State Government has indicated its willingness to consider Sudan’s request for the temporary use of Nasarawa Hospital as the teaching hospital for El-Razi University and the allocation of land for the construction of a Sudanese hospital and community office in the state.
“The request for the temporary use of Nasarawa Hospital will be presented to His Excellency, the Governor, for consideration, while the request for land to establish a Sudanese hospital and community office in Kano will also receive the necessary attention,” he said.
Earlier, Ambassador Haroon described the relationship between Nigeria and Sudan as longstanding and mutually beneficial, with Kano occupying a strategic position in the partnership.
The ambassador appealed to the Kano State Government to approve the temporary use of Nasarawa Hospital by El-Razi University and allocate land for the construction of a Sudanese hospital and community office.
He said the proposed projects would deepen cooperation between Sudan and Kano, particularly in healthcare and education, while strengthening the longstanding relationship between the two sides.
