Mary Frances Martin, 80, of Monmouth, IL, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 22, 1945, in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Gerald W. and Helen I. Mary married Joseph L. Martin on March 17, 1966, in Monmouth, IL; he preceded her in death on January 1, 2004. Surviving Mary is her daughter, Tamara S. (James) Slater of Biggsville, IL; her granddaughter, Jaclyn M. Slater of Galesburg, IL; her grandson, Joseph M. Slater of Monmouth, IL; her sister-in-law, Patti Martin of Monmouth, IL and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Laurette Hawk; and her brother, Charles Johnson.
