Enterprise Holdings Ltd, which is based off Mount Vernon Avenue, wants to create the facility to develop what it describes as a “much needed” car rental site for the local community, which would provide more employment and expand the company across the UK. There are also plans to develop a replacement wash bay for the vehicles and if approved the site would operate from Monday to Saturday between the hours of 8am to 6pm. The planning application highlights the company’s development goals, which are to ensure the design accommodates the future requirements of the car and vehicle rental markets over the next eight years. Car washing will be via hand held equipment, in keeping with operations currently on site. “Overall we feel the proposals provide an improvement to the site.”
