The CP Jimoh was on the field with his officers to ensure the enforcement was carried out strictly but with a high level of professionalism. CP Jimoh reiterated that the enforcement was designed to enhance public safety, curb criminal activities, and ensure adherence to road safety regulations, not to inconvenience law-abiding citizens. “The command strongly advises vehicle owners to comply immediately and immediately obtain a Permit while the vehicle owners must register for the approved Tinted Glass Permit at www.possap.gov.ng ,” he said. The command also stated that those not seeking a permit must remove unauthorised tints or replace factory-fitted tinted glass with transparent ones, as required by the Motor Vehicles (Prohibition of Tinted Glass) Act, 2004. CP Jimoh issued a strong directive to all police personnel, commanding them to conduct the exercise free from harassment or extortion.
