Baker, LA - With a heavy heart we announce the death of Reginald (Reggie) James Ducote, of Baker, Louisiana, on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the age of 74. Reggie was born in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana to Cleo Plauche Ducote and Robert (Bobby) William Ducote, Sr. You could catch him watching LSU football in the Fall and LSU baseball in Summer. Reggie loved to hunt and fish, though later in life this morphed to a love of watching his trail cam and enjoying nature as a whole. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cynthia Socha Ducote, daughters Hannah Ducote, Denise Ducote, and Dawn Ducote, grandson Marshall Ducote, sisters Bonnie Gomez and Jodie Devall (Al Lambert), brothers Curtis Ducote (Brigitte), Rob Ducote (Scott Carter), Michael Socha (Dianne), and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
