Nine individuals submitted applications to either the clerk’s office or the mayor by the Sept. 3 deadline: Pamella Bess-Tabb, Jane Easterly, Sue Hulett, Anthony Law, Angelica Mangieri, Katie New, Bill Sime, Tara Wilder and Jeffrey Gomer. Due to an inaccurate email address provided to Gomer, his application did not reach the mayor, though it was received by the clerk’s office. Hix, who resigned earlier this month after moving outside city limits, had represented Ward 1 since 2019.
