The Galesburg Fire Department extinguished a commercial structure fire at Midstate Manufacturing Company on Friday afternoon, with no injuries reported and the cause determined to be accidental.
The department’s 11 on-duty personnel were dispatched, and the Central Station crew made the initial attack with a hose line to put out the flames.
Galesburg Fire Chief Randy Hovind told WGIL the quick response prevented further damage.
