According to the advisory issued by the NSDMA, on August 2, most districts including Chümoukedima, Dimapur, Kohima, Meluri, Niuland and Peren are expected to receive light rain at a few places. Longleng is likely to experience moderate to heavy intermittent rainfall, while Phek may witness localized thunderstorms and lightning with light rain. Kohima, Tseminyu, Tuensang, Wokha and Longleng may experience localized thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by light to moderate rainfall, while the remaining districts are likely to see light rain at a few places. Scattered intermittent light to moderate rainfall is expected over most districts on August 5, with Tseminyu likely to receive moderate to heavy downpour at a few places. Motorists have been urged to exercise caution while travelling, and the public has been advised to stay updated with official weather forecasts and advisories through the NSDMA Weather website and the SAFER Nagaland App.
