BISMARCK, N.D. — North Dakota Gov. Kelly Armstrong and Attorney General Drew Wrigley are scheduled to hold a press conference on Monday, Aug. 3, at the State Capitol to announce new actions regarding the substance kratom and a related compound. The announcement will address the unregulated substance kratom alongside the kratom-related compound 7-hydroxymitragynine, commonly referred to as 7-OH. State officials indicated that the planned actions are aimed at protecting public health and safety across North Dakota. Representatives expected to attend include members of the North Dakota Legislature, the North Dakota Board of Pharmacy, and the state Department of Health and Human Services.
