Article contentThe thrill of summer fireworks will be delayed for the second time in Brockville because of a contrary Mother Nature. The show will take place at Blockhouse Island as usual, but the time will be 8:30 p.m. (maybe a plus for some), reflecting the shortening of the days. The initially scheduled Blockhouse Island Canada Day fireworks were wiped out by a massive storm on July 1. The outcome was the postponement of the Canada Day fireworks to this Sunday. As of Saturday, the forecast for the now-newly-postponed 9 p.m. Sunday night, event at Blockhouse Island is a 90-per-cent chance of rain.
