Anderson, who runs the local surf school in her name, was surrounded by girls keen to learn from the pro at the Girls Day Out sports festival at Foreshore Park on Saturday afternoon, aimed at encouraging young athletes to dream big, take inspiration from the sporting women who have come before them, and try a handful of new sports - from surfing to golf, cricket to netball and more - that could spark a lifetime passion.
