In the message, President Trump stressed that Washington recognizes Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara and considers the Moroccan Autonomy Initiative to be the only basis for resolving the dispute, said the Royal Office in a statement. On political and security matters, the U.S. president highlighted Morocco’s role in promoting regional stability, describing King Mohammed VI’s wise leadership as a cornerstone of stability. Trump said that King Mohammed VI’s vision for growth opens new prospects for prosperity for both countries’ peoples, and economies.” According to a statement from the Royal Cabinet, this underscores the shared determination of both countries to expand their political, economic, and security partnership.
