Angered by official apathy, the villagers staged a protest on the Kamareddy–Rajanna Sircilla main road on Saturday, demanding immediate supply of safe drinking water to their colony. The residents said they were left with no option but to draw drinking water from nearby agricultural wells. However, they warned that they would intensify their agitation if sufficient drinking water was not supplied soon.
