Edward Eugene Terpening, 85, of Alexis, IL, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville, IL. Ed was born November 12, 1939, in Galesburg, IL, the son of Donald and Corinne (Johnson) Terpening. He was raised and educated in Galesburg, graduating from Galesburg High School in 1958. He later married Mary Ann (Peterson) Neice on August 16, 1985, in Alexis and she passed away on April 21, 2010. Survivors include his children, Edward D. (Polly) Terpening of Victoria and Michelle Terpening of Knoxville, Brett (Billie) Neice and Brian (Bobbie) Neice both of Alexis and Jeffrey Neice of Williamsfield, IL; 5 grandchildren; one great-grandson; 2 sisters, Janet (Pete) Drummond of Benld, IL and Marjorie Gray of Galesburg; 2 brothers, Roger (Darcy) Terpening and Jerry (Kathie) Terpening of Abbeville, LA; several nieces and nephews.
