Mrs. Ada Joy Trone, 79, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 5:48 a.m. Sunday September 21, 2025, at Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville, Illinois. Ada was born on August 4, 1946, in Galesburg, the daughter of Harry E. and Audrey (Routt) Forbes. Ada married Carl Joe Trone on April 1, 1966. She worked as a nurse at the Galesburg Research Hospital and later at St Mary’s Hospital in Galesburg. Memorials in Ada’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
