Donna R. “Donnie” (Riggs) Peterson, 89, of Knoxville, Illinois, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025, after a short stay at Seminary Manor, Galesburg, Illinois. Donna was born on June 26, 1936, in Anselmo, Nebraska, the daughter of Alfred and Maxine (Williams) Riggs. She is survived by one sister, Carrie Jo Doxsee of Silvis, Illinois; two sister-in-law’s, Kay Peterson of Galesburg, Illinois and Brenda Riggs of Branson, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, Illinois. A fellowship will be held at the Hurd-Hendricks Fellowship Center for friends and relatives beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025.
