Saturday, August 1, 2026 - Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)'s Land Fraud Investigation Unit (LFIU) have arrested a man accused of attempting to fraudulently acquire a prime parcel of land in Nairobi's Kilimani area.
He alleged that he had legally acquired the property through a government allocation and had paid all the required fees.
According to the Director of Land Administration, the land in question is freehold property and was never available for government allocation.
Further forensic examination by the Government Printer established that the stand premium receipt presented by the suspect was forged.
Investigators also confirmed through the Chief Land Registrar that the land legally belongs to Miraflores Apartment.
