The High Court of Antigua and Barbuda has lifted the interim injunction that had prevented the Leeward Islands Cricket Board (LICB) from holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and elections, ruling that the applicants failed to provide full and accurate information when seeking the order.
As a result of the ruling, the LICB is now free to convene its AGM and conduct elections in accordance with its constitution.
While the injunction temporarily delayed our Annual General Meeting, we have always maintained confidence in the judicial process and respected the authority of the Court.
We are pleased that the Court has now determined that the injunction should be discharged, allowing the Board to continue its constitutional business,” Lewis said.
The LICB said it will announce a new date for its AGM and elections in the near future.
