2018 JL 8.4" radio head went bad, is there a history of this?

I reported in an earlier post about my Radio & Climate Control (R&CC) going "crazy", and it now includes the Nav system. There are times it behaves normally, but when it goes, the display will jump rapidly to any and all random screens, usually drops the temp zones down to LO, and turns on the heated wheel. Nav loses all established routes. Is there a history of the 8.4" OEM radio/Nav/CC going bad? I'd actually like to replace it with another OEM, but if there is a history, then I'd rather... 2018 JL 8.4" radio head went bad, is there a history of this?
