Two former daily newspaper editors are to the board of press watchdog IPSO. Journalists Richard Neville and David Wooding together with lay member Sarah Norman will join the board from September. David said: “I have long been a supporter of upholding press standards while protecting freedom of expression and I am keen to be able to contribute as a board member by drawing on my own background in the industry.” And Sarah added: “I strongly believe in upholding high editorial standards while also protecting the principle of a free press.” IPSO chair Jenny Watson said: “I’m delighted to welcome Sarah, Richard and David onto the Board.
