In their first game of the Taylorville Holiday Tournament, the Galesburg Silver Streaks boys basketball team fell to the Marion Wildcats, 68-50. It was the second time ever that the two schools met with the only other game occurring in 1921. Despite cutting the lead to 10 points, the Streaks could not generate a significant run to end the game. Senior Gino Williams was named the Dave's Auto Body Crunch-Time Player of the Game for his performance in the second half despite early foul trouble. The Streaks second game of the tournament will be tomorrow (12/28) against Jacksonville.
