Its debut application is Ondo Perps, a high-performance perpetual futures venue that went live shortly before the network announcement. The shift away from a conventional blockchain stems from lessons learned during the development of Ondo Perps and conversations with clients. Ondo Network addresses the issue by separating these functions. Company leadership frames the Ondo Network not as a replacement that discards prior work, but as a clearer realization of the original goals behind Ondo Chain.
