Noel Lamar “Butch” Price, 86, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at his home. Butch was born on July 31, 1939, in Augusta, Ga., and was the son of the late Macon Lamar Price and Maryan Elizabeth Goodwin Price. A man of deep faith, Butch was a devoted and faithful member of First Baptist Church, where he enjoyed worship and fellowship with his church family. Left to cherish Butch’s memory are his beloved wife of 60 years, Ruth Eleanor Whaley Price; his daughter, Sherry George (Bryan); son, Todd Price (Kathy); grandchildren, Ellie George, Charlie Price, Eva George, Claire Price, and Sarah Macon George; and his brother, Macon Thomas Price.
