The Galesburg Silver Streaks girls basketball team claim third place in the Coles County Holiday Tournament after defeating the Sullivan Redskins, 50-43. The Streaks had a tough battle against Sullivan as they were matching each basket throughout the game. Good ball movement and shot selection in the fourth quarter led to the Streaks grinding out a win. The Streaks finished the tournament at 3-1 and are 17-1 overall for the season. Senior Syriah Boyd was named the Dave's Auto Body Crunch-Time Player of the Game for her performance in the fourth quarter where she went 4 for 4 from the field.
